Omnisend is the biggest Klaviyo alternative, used by many because Klaviyo is too expensive. But is Omnisend really worse?

The disadvantages of Omnisend
Now let’s look at the disadvantages of Omnisend:
Fewer Email Templates Than Competition
Compared to Klaviyo, Omnisend has much less design templates for your email campaigns. But of course, you can create your own completely.
No access to metadata of the orders
In an online store I have personalized products. These save the product preview as metadata. In Klaviyo, you can use this e.g. for the shopping cart abandonment emails and can show the customers their personalized product.
Unfortunately, this is not yet possible with Omnisend.
How much does Omnisend cost?
Omnisend’s pricing is also extremely competitive compared to other marketing automation software.
Klaviyo already costs $30 for 1000 contacts, which is 50% more.
At 20,000 contacts, Klaviyo costs $375 and Omnisend only $230 per month.
My Omnisend experience summarized
I would definitely recommend Omnisend to anyone who runs an online store. It’s a great tool with a lot of features. Especially the automation tools are a must-have.
