What is Themeforest?
Why you should look for a Themeforest alternative?
Themeforest or Envato takes a huge fee of each sale. This is an important part for the seller, but also the buyer should consider that in this case the developer is not supported as much.
For every sale, marketplaces charge a fee / commission. This is justified for the general support, personnel costs, hosting, domain and the processing of the payment.
Themeforest charges a fee of 55% for non-exclusive products. This is more than the seller gets. An exclusive product exists when the product is still offered for sale elsewhere.
If you sell your products exclusively on Themeforest, then they charge a 37.5% fee (down to 12.5% if your sales volume is $75,000).
Creative Market has over 8000 Themes (this includes 3.600+ WordPress Themes). Therefore, Creative Market is the biggest Themeforest Alternative.
That’s why UI8 is for sure worth a mention.
Mojo Marketplace (formerly Mojo Themes) offers over 380 HTML and 770 WordPress themes.
TemplateMonster has over 32 thousand products and over 5 million buyers. Of the products, over 2,900 are HTML templates and 2,400 are WordPress themes.
Themeforest is unfortunately a real monopoly and has no direct competition. Of course there are a few alternatives, but unfortunately none that covers all of Themeforest’s themes.
A real alternative to Themeforest, however, is a Theme Builder. These allow you to easily create your own designs. Notable theme builders are Divi, Beaver Builder and Elementor. If you need help, please feel free to contact us here.
